The UAE investor visa is the residence visa issued to founders and shareholders of UAE companies. It is valid for 2 years, renewable indefinitely, and gives you the right to live in the UAE as a legal resident.
Who Qualifies
Any person who is a shareholder or director of a UAE company qualifies for an investor visa. There is no minimum investment amount for most free zone companies.

The Process
- Company formed and trade license issued
- Investor visa application submitted

- Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at immigration
- Emirates ID issued
Timing and Cost
The visa process runs simultaneously with the trade license in most DBC packages. Total timeline from license issuance to Emirates ID is typically 3 to 4 weeks. DBC charges USD 1,225 (AED 4,500) for the investor visa inclusive of medical and Emirates ID.
