    Situation

The client had an active AED account but his commodity trades were denominated in USD and he was paying excessive conversion fees on every transaction. His bank had declined to add a USD account due to a compliance query on a previous transaction that had been logged but not resolved.

    What We Did

We traced the compliance query, coordinated with the client on the required explanation letter, and submitted a structured response to the bank's compliance team. Once the query was resolved, we supported the USD account application with the appropriate documentation.

    Outcome

USD account added to the existing banking relationship. Conversion fees eliminated on commodity trades. The compliance log was closed and the client's account standing is now clean.
